The Biblioteca Digital Hispanica of the Biblioteca Nacional de España  of AECID (Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo) gathers printed texts and manuscripts of different nature. For a more direct search please select here. Choose the Hispanic collection and with words or key concepts like “chronicle”,} “church history”, “grammar”, “history sources”, or you can write the name of languages (Spanish, Latin, Maya …) or cities.

It has 1843 complete text works, which means a total of more than one million digital images. It possesses part of an old heritage fund of Hispanic and Islamic collections, whose rights of intellectual property have prescribed or modern publications that belong to AECID. It is a collection of enormous value, with some unique books that are at the disposal of the cultural world without any restrictions.

With this library, AECID shows one more time its innovative and technological character, at the same time that it presents the existing continuous line in the cultural world between past and present. What we used to have only in paper and we had to go to the place for consultation, is now available online from any part of the world.
