The Centro de Estudios Indianos (CEI), was constituted as a research body devoted to literature, history and culture in all its dimensions for Iberoamerica, and allows members of other institutions to integrate it. Today it has a strategic alliance with Universidad del Pacífico (Lima, Perú) that expresses through the Proyecto Estudios Indianos. Its activities are integrated in the projects of the Research Main Line “Siglo de Oro” of the Universidad de Navarra. Its most important objectives are the following:
- Publication and critical study of Indian texts since the Discovery of America to the Baroque period (XVIII century).
- Development of works about the period and culture of this area from an interdisciplinary perspective.
- Promotion of scientific activities: congresses, seminars, work meetings.
- Promotion in general in cooperation with interested scholars.
