Rosa Limensis seu symbola… is the only known book of emblems dedicated entirely to Santa Rosa de Lima. It is an emblematic hagiography, since the emblems illustrate the most remarkable passages of his sacred life. Many of its iconographic motifs are related to paintings, engravings and ecclesiastical images with illustrations made for the many celebrations on the occasion of the beatification and canonization of Rosa de Lima, in America and Europe.
