Library Amarilis
The Proyecto de Estudios Indianos inaugurates with the Amarilis Library a series of digital collections that gather the volumes that occupied the shelves of the American writers of the sixteenth, seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Libraries are a valuable tool for understanding the books and for reconstructing the ideological borders that defined the mental geography of literate cities
The digital libraries of the Indian Studies Project share the digitization of books, printed or manuscript, which according to editors or researchers belonged to the collections of American authors in the modern era. For this purpose, we have considered the very thorough study of Dr. Martina Vinatea, prepared for her edition of the Epístola de Amarilis a Belardo (Epistle from Amarilis to Belardo) published by the former Centro de Estudios Indianos.
