Spiritual Works that guide a Soul with the perfect union with God, by San Juan de la Cruz

Authors: Juan de la Cruz

Although the poems of San Juan de la Cruz, called Juan de Yepes Álvarez before taking the orders, circulated in manuscripts or were transmitted by oral tradition from the end of the sixteenth century until the beginning of the seventeenth century. Its wide dissemination had its starting point in the editio princeps of his Spiritual Works, printed in Alcalá in 1618, more than one  century before the friar was canonized. We have excluded from the volume the Cántico espiritual, but have included important writings of the mystical work of the Carmelite saint as Noche oscura del almaSubida al monte Carmelo and Llama de amor viva.
