Physics,by Juan Bautista Juanini (1689)
Juan Bautista Juanini wrote this volume, much more extensive with the format of a scientific treatise. Here he describes the physical understanding of different natural, earth and meteorological phenomena. This document is much more large and formal: it is a more complete reference to draw a deep understanding of the physical functioning of nature (at least as far as understood at this time). The style is not conversational, unlike the treatises of Tomás Vicente Tosca, who also was reviewed by Cardenas. Nevertheless although the references to Tosca are more explicit, Juanini is closer to Cardenas’ naturalist and the prose style approach.
