Collection Rulers of Peru: letters and papers of the sixteenth century (Volume XIII)

The first century of history of the Viceroyalty of Peru was full of numerous transformations. Civil wars, economic difficulties, among other social processes were lived during those years, events that were written in testimonies in countless sources. Maybe the most revealing of them, is the official correspondence that the Viceroys of Peru sent to the Spanish Court. This information, that remains in the Archivo General de Indias, was compiled and published in 14 volumes by Roberto Levillier in the 1920s and is currently digitized on the Internet.
